RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OPERATIONAL PRACTISES AND PERFORMANCE AMONG EARLY ADOPTERS OF GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTISES IN CHINESE MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES.
The research framework is develop to investigate the
relationship between four GSCM practices (Independent Variable) that Chinese enterprise may implement to improve their performance.
In this general framework, four Organizational Performance ( Dependent Variable) factors have a positive, direct
relationship with enterprise performance improvements. The QM and JIT
manufacturing influences the relationships between GSCM practice and
performance. GSCM practices are
generally beneficial for environmental performance and some aspects of
economic performance.
Enterprises having higher levels of adoption of GSCM
practices have better positive economic performance improvements.
Enterprises having higher levels of GSCM practise have
(worse) negative economic performance improvements.

Globalization, especially after China’s entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), may result inhigher pressure and drivers for Chinese enterprises toimprove environmental performance. It being suggested that export and sales to foreign customers are two major drivers for improving the environmental performance of Chinese enterprises. Increasingly, multinational enterprises have established global networks of suppliers . These linkages and growth in globalization provide opportunities for Chinese manufacturers to export products. However, exporting products also requires Chinese enterprises to address and overcome ‘green barriers’ and increase their international competitive ability
GSCM has emerged as an important new archetype for companies to achieve profit and market share objectives by lowering their environmental risks and impacts and while raising their ecological efficiency
